No Shore EP
Grave Mistake Records

These dudes hail from Richmond, VA and play no frills punk/hardcore; think along the lines of SSD, Negative Approach, Poison Idea and the likes. I believe right before the recording of this EP, the band enlisted the services of Government Warning's drummer Brandon, who I believe is now a full time member. Don't hold me to this but I'm fairly certain that this is the band's second proper release on a label (their previous release was a s/t 7" that was also released on Grave Mistake Records). There are 7 songs in all, though you could easily assume that there is six because the songs Leech/No Shore are combined together. Expect a culmination of the influences and some really mean, gruff vocals that spit on anything that the vocalist deems necessary. The best song of the bunch is definitely "Hey, Pat!" which is about the televangelist Pat Robertson, who is indeed a stupid fuck and deserves a nice verbal bashing. Expect other songs about social parasites, the endless struggle of day-to-day living. Oh, and the layout is pretty sweet. I like the simple black and white layout and the front cover that has a summer beach scene with airplanes over top dropping bombs on the innocent bystanders. And the inside of the foldout which is used to display the lyrics, has a picture of that fucker Pat Robertson. Fuck you Pat Robertson, you pussy ass bitch mother fucker.

Rating: 3.5/5
Songs Worthy of Replay: Hey, Pat! and No Shore
Synopsis: If you're a fan of the old school revival movement I can't see why you wouldn't be able to enjoy this. The tunes rip, the recording is pretty good, and a good layout to boot.
