This CD seems like it transported itself out of the mid-1990's and into my CD player. It's hard to get a firm grasp on what SOS are trying to put across through their music. Do they want to be a rock band? A metal band? A punk band? Whichever it is…none of it is done well. The prevalent sound on this album is one of mid-90's rock music with some songs leaning more towards hard rock or hair metal. Think Stone Temple Pilots or Soundgarden during the latter's lighter years. It also wouldn't be far-fetched to describe them as generically trying to mimic Life Of Agony's later more rock-oriented style; heavy on the melody and grooves but lacking any balls.

The lyrics are poorly written, the music is mediocre and terribly generic. Add this to the aforementioned lack of musical direction and this is an all-around poor release. The band's biography is even disastrously written and chock full of useless information and desperate adjectives. The bio sheet doesn't even follow any pattern just like their music. I read this bio three times through and still had no clue what to expect from this band nor did I have any idea as to what they have accomplished thus far as a band in 14 years of existence. The dozen or so times I listened to this album and the time taken to write this review has been a complete waste of my time.

Rating: 1/5
Songs Worthy of Replay: None, don't even waste your time on this CD!
Synopsis: One of the worst releases I've had the misfortune of reviewing. A combination of a lack of originality, poorly written songs, mediocre musicianship and zero musical direction make this a recommendation to "steer clear at all costs".
