Lower Class BratsThese droogies from Austin, TX have been spreading their brand of Clockwork Orange punk rock unmercifully since 1995. Twelve years later and they have released eight 7" singles, two 12" singles, and four full-length albums, most recently "The New Seditionaires" on TKO.
This is the band's first live album and was recorded Friday, July 28th at the Allen Theater in Southgate, CA. The band rips through fourteen of their crowd pleasers with some rousing renditions of Mad Parade's-"Sex and Violence", Misfits-"Bullet", and The Ramones-"Beat On The Brat".
Recording is the most critical aspect in making or breaking a live album. I've heard some real slopfests that made me wonder what the fuck the band and label were thinking, others have been okay and very few have been exceptional. This isn't perfect but it has good sound quality; all of the instruments are balanced. The bass tone is good and has plenty of low end and treble, the guitar sounds a bit thin but good enough, the vocals are actually really good. The second half of the production, the video, sounds and looks good. None of that blurry shit, the sound quality is on par with the album. My only complaint is the lack of angles, it was essentially one camera doing all the taping from the same spot.
Very nice double-disc digipack with plenty of live shots. The front cover is simple, just a live shot of Bones engaging the crowd in a sing-along with the patent LCB logo and the title of the CD/DVD. The spine looks good, the LCB logo again with blood splatters on white cloth. The back of the package has another live shot with the track listing for both the CD and DVD. Inside you are greeted with the flier used for the show with the same blood/cloth pattern used for the spine. Overall, nothing too crazy but it's enough.

Songs Worthy of Replay: Ultra-Violence and Orphans Don't Run
Synopsis: These guys are only second to The Adicts when it comes to the utter admiration of one of the greatest movies ever put to film, Stanley Kubrick's A Clockwork of Orange. If you haven't heard of this band prior this, I would suggest picking up the band's early releases. This is for the hardcore LCB fans out there, top notch packaging, solid recording, a DVD containing 13 songs all in slick double digipack with a music video for "Just Like Clockwork". There is also some videos from the other bands on the label and a preview for the upcoming LCB DVD documentary.
