Incendiary is another excellent band that was recommended to me by Chris from Eternal Hope Records. And as of yesterday, I now know one reason he was singing their praises. Eternal Hope announced that they have signed Incendiary. Chris, however, wasn’t only recommending them because he wanted to push his new signee…this band is actually capable of making any new fan spout their name to anyone who may listen. I liked the tracks they had on their myspace profile and contacted them immediately for a demo. About a week ago, I got the six-track demo CD and I’m more than happy enough to write a review of it to share this excellent new band with SicZine’s readers.

This Long Island band features ex members of Invade and Soldiers. This first track is an intro and though I normally frown upon intro’s on demos, this one is short enough to not drag along and doesn’t bring the overall experience of the CD down at all. The following five songs are extremely tight slabs of pissed-off hardcore that draws heavily from the current Long Island hardcore scene as well as early 90’s NYC bands. This band also doesn’t stray far from their members previous bands either, which isn’t a knock in the slightest, seeing as I was really into Invade in the short time they were around. Be sure to check out this band, whether going to one of their shows or at least take a couple minutes to visit their myspace page ad see what they’re all about. I guarantee you’ll be talking about this band after only a few listens. Once you’re hooked, you can join me in eagerly awaiting their first official release.
