Fed Up!
Lashing Out 7"
United Riot Records

I was exposed to these New York city natives through an interview done by Jason from NGS Records' zine, Indecent Exposure, issue #4 (one of my favorite zines, this issue had some awesome interviews) to be exact. Anyhow, these guys formed back in ‘97 and play straight up old school NYHC. They have released splits with Disavow and Condition and have appeared on numerous compilations over the years but they have yet to put out a full length.

This record includes three songs: "Lashing Out", a wonderful song about getting fed up with the 9-5 grind (no pun intended, seriously) and "Hamburger Deluxe", which is as delicious as it sounds, is about Dennis F.U. demanding a mother fucking hamburger deluxe on Side A. Side B features one track, "Bitch Slap" (which also appeared on the "Streets of America" compilation, also put out by United Riot Records) which is about bitch slapping the wannabe tough guy at the show causing a disturbance.

The recording isn't bad but you can tell the dudes were low on cash. I guess in a way it's good because it gives it that outdated sound when band's couldn't afford a decent recording to save their lives.

Just like the recording the layout has that nostalgic, old school feeling going on. It's a simple black and white design on a heavy stock paper. The inside is solid, it has all of the lyrics displayed in white boxes with some live photos. Oh, and the record comes on clear wax, and as far as I know it is the only color available.

Rating: 3.4/5

Songs Worthy of Replay: Bitch Slap

Synopsis: Solid release from these booze-hounds. I just wish they could've made it at least an even four, and come on guys lets get a full length out there!
