Crime In StereoI've never been huge on Crime In Stereo, and even though I've seen more than enough people compare them to Gorilla Biscuits, but I just don't hear it. Strike Anywhere, The Movie Life, now that fits them a lot better. Although I'll give it to them, they always have a good knack for their lyrical approach and song titles. But their sound is a little too pop punk for me, and the only thing separating them for the bands I HATE with a passion is their lyrics. And sadly this 4 song throw away serves as nothing more than them fulfilling their contract obligations with Blackout Records so they can release their sophomore full length on Nitro. Obviously there's tons of people that will dig this, just not me. Although, "Jesus Is My Ride Home," is pretty decent, only because it reminds me of that On The Rise "blank stare" song but only for a little bit. And the lyrics to "Long Song Titles Aren't Cool Anymore Because The Rest Of You Fuckers Are No Good At It" almost make up for the pop punk laden parts littered throughout the song. So for you fans of bands like Rise And Fall, Strike Anywhere, etc this will more than appease you, this I'm sure of. This is the appetizer so to speak, cause I'm sure you can't wait for that full length.
