Common EnemyFrom Reading, PA (home of Wisdom In Chains, Out to Win) comes these punk skaters who want nothing more than fast thrash, circle pits, and raising mayhem on their decks, in the streets. Now, I may not be a skater but I still can get down and appreciate what these guys are about. As we all know, there are many forms of punk and while they are all significantly faster than other styles and genres of music, some punk is just mind numbingly fast and this is fucking fast! They blow through the seven songs on this 7" so fast that by the time you get on your kicks and grab your board, it’s over. Definitely good to listen to if you’re in a hurry to get in some drunken thrashing at 2 in the morning. The vocalist had me thinking I had the speed on my record player on 45, it’s as if he’s on a speed ball throwing up into the mic, but in a good way. The recording fits the band like a Guinness fits my hand. Also, this release comes equipped with a black and white cartoon layout that looks sick and hand numbered black vinyl limited to 400 copies. If you’re a skater, punk or both you will definitely be feeling this one. With songs like Skate of the dead, Park scabs and ramp tramps, and Let’s Have Fun are clear indicators of what these guys are all about. So grab a brew or two, pop this bad boy on and circle pit with you boys until the break of dawn. If you’re a skater, punk or both you will definitely be feeling this one.
