BookburnerBookburner is a five piece band from the Philadelphia area that plays a little punk, a little rock, and a lot of good music. Right now they have a four song demo out, which I recommend picking up.
Up until not too long I haven't heard anything from this band, but when I did, boy was it a nice surprise. All of the songs flow together very nicely and not once in the many times I have listened to this demo have I found myself bored or wanting to skip tracks. Tight rhythms with nice bass lines make these songs just right, not to mention the sweet vocals and lyrics. Refreshing.
Recording quality, which can take a good demo and make it trash, is not an issue here. Permanent Hearing Damage Recording definitely did these guys justice, not too polished, but not too rough… just nice. I have said it once, and I will say it again, the only problem I have with demos like these is that that's just it, it's just a demo. It leaves you wanting more, which is definitely a good thing. Keep your eyes peeled for these guys.
