Without a doubt, NY's All Out War is one of the pioneers of metalcore which has been deprived of its luster over the years due to the influx of fashion fruits and the lure of cashing in. If you are reading this review and you have never heard of All Out War, shame on your silly ass and acquaint yourself ASAP with "Truth In The Age of Lies" and "For Those Who Were Crucified" because they are two of the best albums that the genre has ever seen.

The two songs that are on this 7"- "After Autumn" and "Destined To Burn" - both appeared on "Truth In The Age of Lies," however the versions that appeared on both the original 1997 Gain Ground version of the record as well as the 2000 Victory Records version are a different recording/mix than the ones on this re-release. Initially these two songs were intended to appear on the Astor Records NYHC compilation that ended up not being released. So even if you are familiar with the Truth In The Age of Lies versions it would be wise to cope this because in my opinion these versions sound a bit better than the ones that appeared on the full length. Plus the sweet ass artwork alone makes this worth coping.

Rating: 5/5
Songs Worthy of Replay: "After Autumn" & "Destined To Burn"
Synopsis: All Out War, enough said. There are a mere 1,000 copies of this gem (500 on Clear Red/152 Clear/350 Green/White Marble which is sold-out) so be sure to get your grubby little paws on this before they are all gone!
