Fake People Say Fake Things. Got some more new reviews for you to feast your eyes upon: Underground Hip Hop Essentials Mixtape, Host and Parasite, Lion of Judah, Unlucky Atlas, and Locked In A Vacancy. Also there is a new interview with Lighten Up! that Alex conducted, so be sure to check that. Expect more good shit in the near future. Now for some brief news. Here's the deal... The Invade/In Times of War split is about drop upon the world so be sure to grab one of those gems. From Stress (Krush Unit, SubHoodz)-"We've just finished putting together a collection of classic SubHoodz songs as well as some freshly recorded remakes & one of the new jawns." "NO REGRETS" is a 16 song cd that includes 12 songs from "This Boy's Life" & "Genuine B-Boyz.", "The Next" from the compilation and 3 freshly recorded remakes of "Concepts", "Point Blank" and "Back In The Day" featuring DANNY DIABLO a.k.a. LORD EZEC. Also included on the cd is the dirty fresh version of "Hand Grenade". All in all, it's just over 55 minutes of hip-hop for the hardcore at heart. It looks like CREEP RECORDS is going to release it sometime in January. The release date is not in stone yet, but we're pushing to get this released A.S.A.P. You will be able to buy it just about everywhere. We're going to shoot 2 videos for this release also. We're going to start shooting for "Back In The Day" in the next week or two & a video for "Hand Grenade" will be soon to follow. -Jeff |

FIRST DAY OF THE MONTH, FIRST UPDATE OF THE MONTH Doin' it big with this one: 8 new reviews: Slumlords, Bail Out!, Hammer Bros., Since Remembered, Angel City Outcasts, Inkwell, The North Atlantic and Anterrabae. What do you get when two hardcore guys have a love for hip hop? One new interview with the great Mr. Rick Whispers. Check that shit. You can expect reviews for Across Five Aprils, Your Eyes My Dreams, Razzle Dazzle, Fall of Serenity and more in the next update. Hopefully that Iron Age interview will be ready sometime soon. And this goes to labels or bands who are sending me promo materials; don't expect coverage/or good coverage if you can't send me the full packaging. I dedicate a fair amount of time to write up a review and it's not like I get paid for this shit. It's one thing that there is no jewel case because that's a good way to save on postage, and I understand that. But how can you expect me to write a solid review without the artwork and lyrics? And it's funny that usually the bigger the label, the more half assed the promo packages are, yet smaller labels like Thorp, Spook City and Deathwish hold shit down. Don't waste my time, and I wont waste yours. Waking Judea has signed with Innerstrength Records to release their follow up to '04's "The Desolate" which was released by Paper Street Records. Their new album is titled "Invisible Cities" and features seven new tracks. A late Summer release is planned. You can hear some tracks from "Invisible Cities" at www.myspace.com/wakingjudea. They will also head out on a short tour in August with label mates Shallow Water Grave Lion of Judah have posted a new song online here. The song is off of their upcoming full-length for Youngblood Records.

New reviews are up for The Killer (finally), The First Step, Rick Whispers, and Bombshell. Expect some new reviews for Lifeforce Records to be posted up on the next update with Siczine's first hip hop interview with the great Rick Whispers and an interview with Iron Age. As always, more on the way. Now for a news break:
Philly's R5 Productions will be hosting This Is Hardcore Fest this summer at the Starlight Ballroom. Seminal hardcore band Negative Approach, who broke up in 1983, will reportedly play a reunion show at Touch & Go's 25th Anniversary event on September 9th in Chicago, IL. The set will feature original members John Brannon and Chris "O.P." Moore in addition to Harold Richardson (Easy Action) and Ron Sakowski (ex-Laughing Hyenas, Easy Action). Deathwish Inc. welcome Shipwreck to the affiliated family We are proud to welcome SHIPWRECK to the Deathwish affiliated family. Driven by their contempt for humanity and true hatred for mankind, SHIPWRECK have been laying ruin and raising hell in the New England Hardcore community for quite some time. SHIPWRECK embody the same spirit of rage that drove INTEGRITY, RINGWORM, and MERAUDER to hardcore greatness. Those who have survived the sheer power of their live show, or picked up their now classic debut 7"EP/CDEP (Rumble 2005) can attest. Their time is here, SHIPWRECK are just beginning to leave their mark... SHIPWRECK are currently working on their debut album to be released on Deathwish soon. In the meantime, SHIPWRECK will release a limited 7"EP this summer, also on Deathwish. Look for info on this EP to surface shortly. THE HOPE CONSPIRACY are back. Pre-Orders for their 7" "Hang Your Cross" are ending soon, so don't wait - - go to the estore and pre-order your copy today. Check them out on their few East Coast dates. Full Length "Death Knows Your Name" to be out in the fall. Stay Tuned! While playing shows non-stop this summer (and throughout the year!), BLACKLISTED is in the process of writing new material - for a release sometime within the next year. Go and see the powerhouse that is Blacklisted on tour!! They are co-headlining the 108 Record Release in Philadelphia, as well as playing some select dates with The Gorilla Biscuits! FALL OF SERENITY had to drop off their tour with HATE ETERNAL, below you can find the official statement from the band now: "So we are not on tour with the cool people of HATE ETERNAL, SPAWN OF POSSESSION and SHADOWSLAND anymore. We were forced to do this decision together with our label and our management, because there went a lot of things just badly wrong. To put it together, the organisation and management of this tour messed up our intended goal to do promotion for our new album "bloodred salvation". It was almost impossible. So it is a decision that is better for our band. We know that METALLYSEE is a good partner concerning tours, but in this case something doesīnt fit together in the right way. Maybe because some other booking agency set up this tour.We feel very sorry to dissapoint you guys who wanted to see FALL OF SERENITY on this tour. Take the next chance please. To make it clear, there is nothing wrong with our band.If you wanna see the other bands on this tour, PLEASE make sure that you travel to the right place, venue or even the right city. Get as much information as you can get about the show you want to visit. Otherwise itīs possible that you will stand in front of closed doors. We wanna thank the guys of HATE ETERNAL, SPAWN OF POSSESSION, SHADOWSLAND, Ritchie (soundengineer), Math (busdriver), the people who came to the shows and the local promoters who did their best for sure. Unfortunately we canīt thank other people involved.Horns up FALL OF SERENITY"

First off, I would like to thank all the labels and bands who have been sending me material to review. As well as anyone who continually checks out the site, even after the site went on hiatus a few months back because of the server problems, labels and kids didn't give up on us. So thank you for sticking with us, expect more content than ever from Siczine.com . New reviews have been posted for Think Fast! Records: The Distance, Wake Up Call and Expired Youth. Malfunction Records: Bitter End. And finally! A new interview with Shawn Foley of Blacklisted. In the near future, reviews for New Bruises, Hell Promise, Changing Face, Moments Of Youth, Gut Instinct, The Killing Moon and Skylines.

Well, the new year hasn't started off exactly as I would've liked but hey what can you do other than to strive forward? As you may have noticed, the site was down for a bit, and right now we're in the mist of getting old content back up while trying to get some new stuff up, so please bare with us. For this update I have some reviews for some great Spook City releases: Will To Live, Endless Fight and Trust In Few. As well as some reviews for Thorp Records: Fall River and On The Outside. Reviews for Giving Chase, Out Cold, The Breaks, At Risk, Ifarm and Achilles are also going up. In the near future, expect reviews for Ironbound NYC, Struckdown, Set To Explode, 86 Mentality, Dear Whoever, Orion, and Heartfelt Dischord's split with One Win Choice, the first release from Chris Borelli's new label Eternal Hope Records. Support Chris and pick up his split, it's quality and worth the money. On to some other sheez...... I know this is a hardcore/metalcore based site but my love for hip hop cannot be denied so here's a top five list of hip hop albums you should check out. Not to go on a tangent, but I'm sick and tired of people talking about how much they love music and then they have nothing but CD-r's in their collection. If you support hardcore buy the fucking records and cd's.
It's one thing to rip a blink182 cd but to steal money from a band or label that is piss broke as it is, that's just fucked up. This will become a new thing for the mainpage updates, I will let you know what hardcore and hip hop is spinning in my deck and try to enlighten some of folks to good hip hop. If you think 50 cent and G-unit is hip hop than educate yourself and c heck out some REAL quality:
